While staying true to our core values, we consistently work to improve the quality of the services we offer to the residents of Montgomery County. Through feedback from members and best shared practices we are happy to offer new and innovative programs that benefit those we serve.
Our monthly calendar features programs and events for individuals with varied interests. Activities include wellness and recovery sessions run by peer specialists as well as social gatherings, art and music programs, trips, stress reduction classes, and Yoga offered by Sheri – amazing volunteer instructor who has worked with OOOMC for two years. We will be introducing more frequent dual recovery programs and groups addressing recovery topics.
Our members receive the center’s activity calendar by email on a regularly scheduled basis – please let us know if you would also like this service. Print copies are also always available within our center. We would be happy to send out copies by US Mail to local organizations, providers, and interested parties.
On Our Own of Montgomery County’s new hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays- 10 am- 6 pm
Tuesdays and Sundays- CLOSED
On Fridays, beginning in July, the center will be closing at 4 pm due to our newest group, Hearing Voices Network. The Hearing Voices Network is a closed group to provide safety and confidentiality for those who have experienced a remarkable and/or an unusual experience of hearing voices. Our staff members are experienced and trained in many areas, such as Intentional Peer Support, Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), and the Hearing Voices Network (HVN). Please be aware that there will be no interruptions during this group. Feel free to contact us, if you have any questions, concerns, or would like more information about this group.
